Outdoor Stages

This stage is located opposite the Thistle Hotel. The road will be closed off so that Folk On The Quay can enjoy outdoor standing concerts and ceilidh dances in the late afternoon. This is a large, very solid, high and wide mobile stage, very well-equipped for lighting and sound. Folk Sheelanagig, The Churchfitters, Urban Folk Quartet and Rory McLeod's Familiar Strangers will perfiorm on this stage in 2014. The ceilidh bands will also lead the dance from Thistle Stage.

The Middle Stage is along the walkway on The Quay, opposite the Poole Arms and The Portsmouth Hoy. Abov festival favourites Cheikh Diop and his drummers and dancers are picyured above.

SHAMBLES (The Fish Shambles stage is shown above on the right with crowds around it)
Outside The Lord Nelson and Jolly Sailor, the Shambles provides a covered stage.

As always on special occasions the Custom House has its stage on their patio.
